Cosmo Black Moon
On the nights of August 22–23, the sky will host a rare Black Moon, an event that occurs only once every 33 months.

A Black Moon is the second new moon in the same calendar month. Since the Moon is in its new phase, it becomes almost invisible, leaving the night sky darker than usual.

• The absence of moonlight allows stargazers to enjoy breathtaking views of the Milky Way, star clusters, and faint meteors.
• It’s a rare opportunity for astrophotographers to capture the sky in exceptional clarity.
• Missing this one means waiting nearly three years for the next Black Moon.

• Dates: August 22–23, 2025
• Where: Anywhere with dark, open skies far from city lights
• Best Viewing: Around midnight, when the sky is at its darkest
