Celestial Antiquity Sh2-115/116

SH2-115 is an emission nebula located about 7,500 light-years away in the constellation Cygnus, near the bright star Deneb. It is powered by the hot stars of the Berkeley 90 open cluster, which ionize the gas clouds, creating its glow. SH2-115 is part of a larger molecular complex in the Milky Way and is often observed with an H-alpha filter due to its faintness.
