Lawrence Ardoin, known as “Black,” was born to Alphonse “Bois Sec” Ardoin and Marceline Victorian on November 17, 1946. He came from a large family of fourteen, nine sisters and four brothers.

Lawrence married the love of his life, Mary Landry Ardoin in 1968; they had celebrated fifty-four years of marriage on October 5th 2022.

He died in December 2022 and is buried in Southwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Jennings, Louisiana. He is survived by six sisters and two brothers, three children, and four grandchildren.
