Musician. Real name Patricia D. Santos. A native of San Francisco, California, she was a member and vocalist of the folk-rock music group, It’s A Beautiful Day, along with violinist David LaFlamme and his wife, Linda LaFlamme, on keyboards. There recordings include “White Bird”, “Hot Summer Day”, “Time Is”, “Watch Your Step” and “I Know Something.”
The vocals and violin playing of David LaFlamme plus Santos’ singing attracted FM-radio-play attention, and nationally, “White Bird” bubbled under Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, peaking at number 118
After It’s A Beautiful Day her singing career continued with Bud Cockrell and she later retired from music to raise purebred dogs before her untimely death in 1989.
She was voted “best female vocalist of 1968”.
