PLAINS, Ga. (WTVM) – December 29-2024 Former President of the United States, Jimmy Carter, died on Sunday at age 100. The news was reported at 4PM Sunday afternoon by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. James Earl Carter, Jr. – 39th president of the United States – was born Oct. 1, 1924, in Plains, Georgia. Carter has many titles under his belt as he was the oldest living president, as well as the oldest – post-presidency. His 77-year-long marriage to Rosalynn made him the longest married president.
